If there was one way to describe the most overwhelmed, fulfilling and magical day in my life, this would be it. Glacier Adventures is a tour company based in Hali (a little town close to the Iceberg Lagoon), specialized in ice cave tours and glacier hikes, with some boat adventures too.

Since it was winter and one of the best winter things to do in iceland was to see ice caves, we choose the Blue Ice Cave tour, to experience a little bit of everything. It was up to 5-6 hours with a small group, and, after picking our hike equipment (if you don't have a rain jacket you need to purchase the rent of one there), we went on a 4x4 jeep to our final destination: the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier (one "arm" of the great Vatnajökull). Then, walked for like... half an hour? In the middle of volcanic rocks, ice and waterfalls, and arrived in the cinematic Blue Cave, where we could be there for many time to appreciate the beauty of it. The Guide was explaining to us that, years ago, there were much more ice caves on that place but global warming was destroying them.

After, we put our hike eqquipment and started to climb the glacier. Something that I really didn't thought it would change my life... On the night before this, me and my travel partner only ate one icelandic protein yogurt and couldn't buy breakfast because it was everything closed and we had to do a two and a half hours ride from Skogafoss to be on time for the tour, so, when the hiking part started we were very hungry, but that made us stronger because, I will not lie to you, it was not easy... But it made me see life different: 

If you can dream it, then you can do it. 

If you are strong enought to support such hard times in life, then you'll be rewarded with something special....

And we were rewarded with the best breathtaking view when we were on the top of the glacier...

After being on the top, we went inside of a moulin (like... a glacier crater!) to see many different and beautiful ice formations and went back to the ground.

I choose this company because, in this kind of activities, you have to have an extraordinary guide like ours, otherwise it could go wrong for you. Glacier Adventures is the safest tour company I've ever seen and I'm so grateful for this experience!
