Crystal and Fantasy Caves - Bermuda
This is called the Bermuda's hidden treasure for some reason: deep, clear underground pools of azure blue water, incredible formations
of every size and shape imaginable, cave ceilings adorned with rare
chandelier clusters and delicate crystallized soda straws. Each cave is
uniquely beautiful and totally worth a visit if you're a cave person like me.
But... how did this treasure get found? In 1907, two teenagers were playing cricket. One of them struck the
ball really hard and it disappeared into a hole several yards away. But this ball was really important, so they made a few efforts to find it, and it was in a hole. As one of the boys crawled down deeper
and deeper, it became apparent that this was not your ordinary hole! And then the caves were discovered.
How to visit:
The caves are located on Wilkinson Avenue in Hamilton Parish. The opening hours are from 9:00am- 5:00pm, and the guided tours leave every 20 minutes (the last tour leaves at 4:30pm). For the Crystal cave is 24$, the Fantasy cave is 24$ and the combined ticket would be 35$.
