Ok. There's just one more bird specie that I like more than flamingos... YES you guess it!! Penguins!! And I'm about to show you one of the most incredible places to be around them!! Located in Cape Town, this beautiful beach is the home of over 2,000 endangered African penguins, and one of the few mainland penguin colonies in the world.

You can be freely with this amazing animals, you can even swimm with them, but never forget thei're living beings and have to be treaten with respect (no, you cannot touch the penguins...You can admire them!!).

This beach is also a great place to do some watersports like surf or even scuba diving or you can have an eco picnic under the african sunset with your loved one.

How to visit:

The beach is public (with a tourist fee of R152 per adult) and the penguins roam freely, so you can spend the day mingling (even swimming) with these amazing creatures.

You can visit at any time throughout the year, but the best time to visit Boulders Beach would be during the months of October to March when there is comparatively less rainfall. The busy months tend to be from March to April. The opening times are from 8 am – 5 pm.

You can reach it by train - You can catch a train from Cape Town station to Simon’s Town and enjoy the scenic trade ride. After you deboard the train, you can either take a 30-minute walk through the historical little town or you can catch a taxi to Boulders Beach; by bus - with a hop off city sightseeing bus tour (you have a little time to be on the beach), or even by car if you rent one.
